Q: Where is the gallery located?

A: We are located at 261 Main Street, Amagansett.3 Our exhibition space is a historic 1700s farmhouse.4 You can find detailed directions and a map on our "Contact Us" page.

Q: What are your opening hours?

A: As an artist project space, our hours can vary depending on the current exhibition. Please check our website or social media for the most up-to-date hours for our current show. We are typically open during exhibition periods.

Q: Is there an admission fee?

A: No, admission to Galerie Sardine is free for all visitors. We believe that art should be accessible to everyone. Donations are welcome and help support our exhibitions and educational programs.

Q: Is the gallery wheelchair accessible?

A: Due to the historic nature of our farmhouse space, accessibility may be limited. Please contact us in advance at info@galeriesardine.com to discuss any specific accessibility needs.

Visiting the Gallery

Q: Can I take photos?

A: Photography for personal, non-commercial use is generally permitted, unless otherwise noted. Please refrain from using flash, tripods, or selfie sticks to protect the artwork and ensure a pleasant experience for all visitors. Look for signs indicating where photography is prohibited.

Q: Are children welcome?

A: Absolutely! We encourage families to visit and explore our exhibitions. We ask that all children be supervised by an adult at all times to ensure their safety and the safety of the artworks.

Q: Is there a coat check or locker facility?

A: Due to our intimate space, we do not have a formal coat check. For the safety of the artworks, please be mindful of large bags and backpacks and keep them with you at all times.

Q: Is food and drink allowed in the gallery?

A: To preserve the artworks, food and beverages are not permitted in the exhibition spaces.

Q: Can I bring my pet?

A: Only service animals are permitted inside the gallery. Please leave pets at home.

Q: How often do your exhibitions change?

A: Our exhibitions change on a rotating basis. We are a collaborative curatorial project that features a diverse lineup of painters, sculptors, and object makers.5 You can find our current and upcoming exhibition schedules on our "Exhibitions" page.

Q: Are the artworks for sale?

A: Some of the artworks in our exhibitions are available for sale. Please inquire with our front desk staff or check the individual artwork labels for sales information. Our gallery staff can connect you with a sales representative.

Q: How can I submit my artwork for consideration?

A: We do not accept unsolicited artwork submissions at this time. We work with a curated selection of artists.6 Please follow our social media for any open calls or opportunities.

Q: How can I learn more about the artists on display?

A: Exhibition catalogs, artist biographies, and information sheets are often available at the front desk or within the galleries. You can also explore our "Artists" section on the website for more in-depth information.
